National Office Update

Dear RDA UK volunteers and staff,

The day featured the launch of The Princess Royal Coach Academy and the marking of The Princess’ 50 years association with RDA. Strategy Consultation

This week: Horses in Conflict (Thurs 11th 7pm)

This week’s webinar is focusing on horses in conflict. We have two speakers for the webinar; Doug Smith, RDA National Equine Lead, who will be sharing his own experience of horses in conflict speaking as a retired mounted police officer, and Jamie Balls, CEO of the Armed Forces Equine Charity, who will be sharing a bit of history of horses in conflict and how horsescontribute to all the 3 components of fighting power.

The webinar next week will be given by Peter Dean, RDA Head of Finance, and Peter will be discussing reserves.

The role of the occupational therapist (Tues 23rd7:30pm)

Hosted by Rhona Harkness (Occupational Therapist) & Kate El Bizanti (RDA Green Coach & Occupational Therapist) Introducing you to the Occupational Therapy role in Equine Facilitated Therapy & Learning using theory & case examples. It will explore how EFOT-UK & RDA groups can work in collaboration.

Georgia Wilson (Tues 30th 7:30pm)

Georgia made her Paralympic debut at Tokyo 2020, achieving a bronze medal in the individual test grade II. Georgia started riding at RDA at Clwyd SRC, attending her first RDA nationals where she got the bug for dressage.
